Mental practice for painting/art-making
“To create a lively painting on a lifeless canvas and to be in the painting mood is like hearing the unheard, feeling the unseen, painting the absence, moving the unmovable, speaking to silence and bringing it to a meaningful conversation, experiencing solitary yet getting crowded, being directed but not strained, paint for many hours but not getting weary, learning to get involved and let it flow. In order to do all that, an artist needs to have self motives, passion, and patience, personal meditation, setting determined goals, creating a warm atmosphere probably by listening to favorite music and enjoy the peace of the solitary.”
