Stephen Spartana holds numerous Certificates, art related, among them; a B.F.A. Photography Major from Maryland Institute College of Art, 1983, which launched a 40-year career as a commercial and fine art photographer. Spartana’s artwork explore different perspectives of relationship between time and space in the natural world, venturing at times to create fantasy images rather than realistic. He develops a combination of digital and analogue photographic films reproduced onto a mix of mediums, including metal, paper, and various fabrics. This technique enables him to layer multiple images resemble the practice of painters using brushes and paint palettes. His artwork focuses on the hidden beauty that surrounds us, inviting viewers to appreciate our beautiful and fragile planet. Spartana has received numerous international Awards such as The Gold Medal and best Fine arts in the TIFA 2019, 1st Place Award at Tokyo International Foto Awards, several Honorable Mention and Bronze Awards from different countries. His work is found in private collations. He has been selected to participate in the 2021 Venice Architecture Biennale and in Florence biennale 2025. US
